Mylar bags are great for long-term storage because they keep out light, a powerful food degrader, and prevent bag punctures.  Place your vacuum sealed food in a Mylar bag and simply heat seal, then label your bag. DO NOT vacuum seal these bags.  Mylar material is too strong to vacuum seal and may harm your vacuum sealer, no matter how high-quality the machine may be.  To build the strongest pantry, and ensure your food for the longest length, it is important to have high quality Mylar and vacuum bags. These are the bags I use and they work great! These bags can be seen in many of my videos!
